What Parents Say
I cannot recommend flying colours enough. After attending one of their sessions in February half term, to help give my daughter a boost, she insisted on going back for more. Ann and Hannah are incredible teachers who have massively helped her confidence and ability. Throughout lockdown, the daily lessons have been invaluable. The classes are perfectly pitched and she enjoys each and every session. She is disappointed when it is the weekend and they are not happening. They have literally been Angels throughout this time.

I contacted Flying Colours a few weeks into the Coronavirus Lockdown to help us support our 5 year old son with homeschooling. He was very reluctant to do school work at home and it was causing frustration and friction.
He really looks forward to seeing the other children in the Zoom class (and Ann of course!). The classes are structured and fun and it provides us all with routine and a sense of purpose during this uncertain time. We get the course material in advance so there is no rush in the morning before the zoom meeting starts. We also get a weekly report of his progress which I find very reassuring.
They have also provided me with some support as well during this time, as our son has found some of the work tricky. They have reassured me and have always been at the end of the phone or email and I am very grateful for this. It shows that they are not only there for the children, but the parents too and I can tell they are really passionate and truly care about all the children and parents they are supporting- thank you!

Flying colours has been fantastic for both my seven year old twins and 19 month old son. My twins have attended group tutoring sessions with Ann and Hannah covering core maths and English skills. This has helped strengthen their understanding of key parts of the curriculum and build confidence. They are always excited to go to their weekly session and Ann and Hannah make it fun for them.
I’ve been particularly impressed with how Flying colours adapted to lockdown and quickly switched to online tutoring which the girls still find fun and engaging and it’s great that support is also offered to parents with any questions about home learning.
My son loved the toddler sessions he went to which involved fun, age appropriate and original activities and we will definitely be returning post lockdown.

My son has really enjoyed his Flying Colours classes and has grown a lot since he started. They have been invaluable to us during this time away from school. The range of subjects has been incredible and it has sparked, his interest in nature, the environment, inventors, geography, space and history. Ann has a wonderful manner and is very engaged with all her students. She is able to hone in on his strengths and work on his weaknesses. His confidence has grown and he's never bored as each day is different. I highly recommend Flying Colours to everyone. We are so glad we found them!

My son loved his phonics lessons and made huge progress in just a few classes. He is now more aware of different sounds and enjoys games where we find things beginning with certain letters. I feel the classes have definitely helped prepare him for school.

I am so pleased with how much progress she has made over the last few months. She now feels prepared for her lessons so she can keep up with the children in her class.

Our daughter always enjoyed attending the Flying Colour tutoring sessions before lockdown, even after a day of learning at school, as she really enjoys being taught by Ann and Hannah. Their proactive and flexible approach to working has been a lifesaver in lockdown as well, as they have moved to offering classes via video call.
They also tailor the lessons to the children, taking their strengths and weaknesses into account. This has been extremely helpful and hugely reassuring during these uncertain times, as our daughter is still getting lessons from a qualified teacher with an excellent knowledge of the curriculum rather than just from her inexperienced and unqualified parents! Their help and advice has been invaluable.
